Deep Vein Thrombosis
Veins are the vessels that carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart. These are generally blue in colour and are thinner than arteries. When the blood flowing in the body gets thicker, there are high chances of formation of a clot. This blood clot is generally referred to as thrombus. When a blood clot forms up in deep veins of the body, then this condition is deep vein thrombosis. It is generally seen in the deep veins of the legs. It is a very common medical condition that each of you should know about.
Warning signs of Deep vein thrombosis:
Deep vein thrombosis can occur without showing any symptoms. But there are a few symptoms that can be seen if you are suffering from it. Some of them are
Swelling in the affected area:
The primary sign of DVT is swelling. there will be swelling in the affected area and it appears to be very heavy. When you touch the swollen part you will be able to feel the pain as well.
Discolouration in the affected area:
The discolouration is the sign which turns the colour of veins. these veins will no longer appear to be blue in colour. These might appear to be red ore can say purplish in colour.
The affected leg can turn red due to inflammation:
Due to inflammation, the affected leg will appear to be red. Earlier it was not so. But when the signs of DVT knocking it will appear to be like this only.
Mild sensations of pain:
During the early stage of DVT, there will e some sensations of pain in the affected area. An individual can feel it because these mild sensations feel like someone is cuddling with you.
Difficulty in walking:
There might be a chance that you have not gone for diagnosing it. But a person having DVT faces a lot of problems during walking as well. If you are facing difficult then approach the nearby specialist immediately.
